    ASGARD released as open source

It is with great pride that we finally manage to release the very first version of the ASGARD code to third party developments.

Following the naming style we have chosen for our code, the first version of the code is named "Buri", the first Scandinavian god appeared on Earth, living in the city of Asgard.

ASGARD is released under the Aalborg University cooperative development license, in the hope that our code will not be "yet another open source SDR platform", but a place where multiple projects, groups, and institutions actively cooperate for improving and developing the system.

The license and the participation to the cooperative development can be requested on this page.

Nokia Siemens Networks CTO visits the ACCS Demo at Aalborg University

Friday August 31st, Hossein Moiin - Head of Technology and Strategy, CTO of Nokia Siemens Networks, visited the  Aalborg University laboratories where the SAMURAI test bed is developed.

During the visit, we showed Hossein the SAMURAI Autonomous Component Carrier Selection demo based on our ASGARD platform. Despite of its simplicity, the Graphical User Interface that we developed helped us explaining Hossein both the functioning principles of the algorithm, and its run-time behavior.

We are very happy of the positive feedback we received from Hossein, and we hope that this work could go further on.
